| 12/01/04 California Spring 2005 Lecture Tour Announcement In April/May of 2005, Cornelia Jarica, Founder and Chairman of the Colloquium on Quantum Phenomena, Consciousness, and Being, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, will be holding public lecture/discussion events in the greater Bay Area. Lecture Title “What (the bleep) is the Nature of Reality and Why (the bleep) Should We Care? - Exploring Quantum Phenomena, Metaphysics, Consciousness, and How We Create our Experiences!” Event Program Lecture Part I: 45+ min Break 10 min Lecture Part II: 45+ min Discussion Session: 30+ min Admission $15 Lecture Abstract A brief introduction of the micro-world will be provided, and several quantum phenomena will be explained. It will be shown that our material world is in reality almost all empty space, a void, the vacuum. We as humans experience the world as solids, fluids, and gases. Physics, however, tells us that what our senses experience is energy or electro-magnetic fields. We can never know the outside world directly. Instead, our consciousness is creating the images of the outside world which evoke thoughts and conjure feelings. No matter how real they appear to us, these images in our mind are not the outside world. It is obvious that we as human beings are magnificent creators of what we perceive to be our reality. However, most of our creation processes occur unintentionally and/or unconsciously. It is as if we were programmed by some higher forces of nature to function by default. It is one of the organization’s goals to research and present knowledge and techniques that may enable us to create more deliberately and purposefully and allow us to live increased freedom and happiness. This may be accomplished by turning within and enlivening the unbounded treasures of the universe through our connection to the source of well-being. Major Lecture Points
Definitions, organizational points. 2. What is Reality? What Our Senses Experience or What Scientists Tell us? Constructing wholeness from incomplete data. Sensory fallacies and illusions. What would 4D vision be like? Excuse me - the Earth rotates which way and is exposed to what speeds? 3. The Universe of the Atom Expensive microscopes and nothing to look at? The worlds of vibration and of thought/emotion. Atoms engaged in love affairs, but touching impossible. Where exactly is our physical world? Electromagnetic energy, charges, empty space, ripples in fields, virtual particles, zero-point energy - are all there is. Well 99.999%! Get this: The remaining 0.0001% of matter isn’t exactly matter. But if it were, what space would it occupy? 4. Analysis of the Human Sensory Perception Electric impulses traveling to the brain. The world isn’t out there, dummy, it’s in here. In here are images miraculously and mysteriously created by our consciousness. The grass is never green. Would there be sound in the forest? Maya. 5. Quantum Mysteries The secret life of the “quantum creature.” Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle leaves no uncertainties. The limiting world of waking, sleeping, and dreaming. Consciousness as the basis of existence. Newtonian versus quantum physics. What!? Particles behaving like waves and waves like particles? 6. Consciousness as Central Role Say again: By whom, where, when, and why exactly is the wave function being collapsed? EPR, kitty-cats, Wigner and his friend, and John Wheeler’s “here’s looking at you, universe”. 7. What Does It All Mean? When nothing short of paradise on Earth will do…. Is there a way to stay happy regardless of outer circumstances and events? Connecting to the source energy of well being. When you ask, it is given. Allowing the good we desire and deserve. Let your feeling be your guidance. |
