| Colloquium on Quantum Phenomena, Consciousness, and Being |
| What – on Earth and beyond – do Quantum Phenomena Have to do with Consciousness?! ;-) |
| It is reasonable to expect that no laboratory experiment will allow physicists to circumvent Max Planck’s h (which relates the particle nature of a quantum entity to its wave nature). Due to this inherent limitation to further explore the natural world in the traditional way, it is the founder’s vision that scientific research will be supplemented by the development of higher states of consciousness of the scientists themselves, because human consciousness is capable of exploring those realms of nature whose vibrational frequencies are beyond the physical and therefore non-physical. Physicists of future generations will broaden their investigations and probe the nature of the universe by including the development of their own consciousness. Therefore, upcoming research in physics will also involve the subjects who conduct the investigation - the researchers themselves. By transcending the three common states of consciousness of waking, dreaming, and sleeping, researchers will experience a fourth level of awareness called the state of pure being (could this have similarity with the term human being !? ;-)). Non-locality and - what Elisabet Sahtouris, Ph.D., a well-known evolution biologist calls - non-temporality can be directly experienced in the state of transcendence. Only effects or results of experiments involving non-locality or non-temporality can be measured in the physical world. This state of transcendental consciousness exhibits dimensions of vibrational frequencies which are in principle inaccessible to material measuring devices. The incorporation of the investigator in the study of the natural laws and the universe will solve the problem of constraint brought about through quantization. It will also advance the development of a grand unifying theory. |
